I'm Packing Plastic

Hey guys.
I know i haven't been updating for ages.
Just three words to explain why which is,BUSY BUSY BUSY!
Just been caught up with school and all and i'm suppose to be doing my hmwk now so i'm gonna keep this short.
School just started like a week ago and to be honest,it was fun.
I mean,i have great classmates,great school and great lecturers so.
It has been a really enjoyable week.
Well,been learning alot of physics and maths right now so.
Kinda okay so far.Workload is still quite manageable.
Had Hop Night on Friday in school.It's basically a party in school.
I took a video but i'm kinda in a rush so maybe i'll post it on another day.
I had soccer trials today and i play my butt off but i didn't get in.
Apparently the coach said that he chose players that Ngee Ann needs instead of those who are good.
I can't blame him.Different coach has a different style of players he wants.
Maybe i'm just not what he wants.
Oh well.I won't lie and say that it doesn't hurt because it does..
It was something i really wanted to get in but i couldn't.
Oh well.I guess i'm off to find other CCA's for me to fit in.
Anyway,hmwk hmwk hmwk so.

We're In It To Win It

Well,it wasn't a fairytale ending for the Manchester United and FC Porto match.
It ended in a 2-2 draw which could prove costly for the champions.
The first half was just an embarrassing performance by United and Porto did very well to keep the pressure on.
They managed to get an early kill in just 4mins when Cristian Rodriguez curled a left footed shot down the right hand side of Edwin Van Der Sar's goal after mistakes form Jonny Evans and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Truth be told,Rooney's goal at the 15th min mark was a gift when Bruno Alves back passed to his keeper without looking and lo and behold,Rooney was at the right place and the right time who pounced on the opportunity and put the ball at the back of the net.
The rest of the first half proved to be a challenge for United though both teams had beautiful chances to score.
It ended 1-1 at the half and the champions had to bring their A game in order to survive the rest of the match.
And bring their A game they did.Sir Alex Ferguson definitely said some words that helped them and the champions played like true champions.
United dominated the second half no doubt and put in a number of beautiful chances to score.
And they were rewarded in the end at the 85th min when Gary Neville's throw was meet by a beautifully heel flick by Rooney which set up Tevez for the kill.
It looked like it was to end as a win for United but another silly mistake at the 89th min mark
proved so costly for the reigning champions.
An unmarked Mariano didn't have the cleanest of touches but it did enough to put the ball in the back of the net.
Honestly,i expected it to be a cagey game but i guess both teams prove me wrong.
Now,the pressure is on United as Porto have a 2 away goal lead.
For those of you who aren't familiar with the away goal advantage,here's a little gist of what it is.
For every goal a team score when they are playing away,it counts as a goal plus advantage.
How it plays in the result is only when both legs ends in a draw for example how United drew 2-2 with Porto and if the second leg ends in a goalless draw.
The winner will then come down to away goal advantage which in this example goes to Porto as they have 2 away goal advantage.
So even though if United drew 1-1 on the second leg,they would only have 1 away goal advantage compared to Porto's 2 which means that Porto will still go through.
So in order for United to go through on a draw game situation,they have to draw an impossible 3-3 which is really unlikely to happen.
Realistically only a win will do.
It doesn't matter if they win by a goal or 50 goals,a win would be a much safer result.
I guess only time can tell.
United's next game will be against Sunderland.
Yes Sunderland are one of the few teams at the bottom of the table but United will not be as strong due to the ongoing suspension of Rooney and Scholes.
Vida would be back playing if I'm not wrong.
We'll just have to wait and see.
For the other results,Arsenal drew 1-1 with Villareal.
Liverpool suffered a major defeat at home in the hands of their English rivals Chelsea.
Liverpool lost 3-1.
But the biggest defeat has to go to Bayern Munich when they lost 4-0 to Barcelona.
It would definitely be a tall order for Bayern to get through to the semis.

Well i went out with Saiful to the new Tampenis 1 mall today.
Just wanted to see what the new mall had in store and whether it will be a good one.
And there was an opening of a new Japanese store there called Uniqlo.
It's the first ever store in Singapore and in southeast Asia alone.
It's one of the biggest brand in Japan and it has made a name for itself in the US,the UK and much more.
It's more of the casual type of brand like Topshop and River Island.
It's famous for its quality apparels for a very cheap price and i must say,it is actually quite a bargain.
Since it was its opening day,there were loads of people there and believe or not,we had to queue just to get in.
But it was worth it.Happened to run in to Nikki and her mum there.
Walked around a little and we went home after that.
I guess that's about it folks.

There's Only One Thing To Do

I am really REALLY ecstatic right now.
For all of you who doesn't know,Manchester United won Aston Villa 3-2 yesterday.
United were down 2-1 after 60 mins but the whole game changed in the last 10 mins of the game.
The brilliant Ronaldo managed to squeeze a left footed shot down the left hand corner of Brad Friedel's goal which brought the score to 2-2.
United kept pushing and pushing to find the winner and they were rewarded at the 93rd min of stoppage time.
A relatively young new star was unexpectedly the match winner of the game when he brilliantly turned away from Luke Young and curled a shot to the left side of the goal which gave no chance for the veteran Brad Friedel to do anything about it.
The 17 year old match winner,Federico Macheda,played his first ever game for the first team in that match and it will definitely be one of the most memorable debut of his playing career if not the most memorable one ever.

Though i have to congratulate Aston Villa for putting up a great fight as they seemed to have controlled the entire game up till the 80min mark.
United was not playing well at all but the clinical finishing prove to be the deciding factor of this game.
Aston Villa is my 3rd favorite team just behind United and Bayern Munich and i have to say i am really proud of them.
The next game for United will be the champions league 1st leg match again FC Porto.
It will be interesting how United will be going into this game.
They did not play well agaisnt Villa but the win is definitely a boost for their self-esteem.
The team will definitely be stronger as Rooney,Vidic,Park and Scholes will be able to play.
Unfortunately,Berbatov,Ferdinand and Anderson will still be out due to injury but i think they have adequate cover.
United will have the winning momentum going into this game but it will be interesting how they start off and play the game.
I'm not expecting United to be outstanding in the game but i hope that they have enough in them to deny Porto in getting the away goal when they travel to Old Trafford.
A draw would be an okay result but a goal or two up would definitely be much safer.
I guess only time can tell.
The game is on on ESPN on Wednesday morning at 2.30am btw.
So all you United fans out there,be sure to adjust your alarm clock.

Is Everybody Going Crazy

Wow.This week is officially one of the most CRAZIEST week in my life.
Things are just happening so fast and it seems like i can't get a hold of it.
Things would be so much easier if it was to slow down like pronto.
Hey,i guess life is always a challenge huh?
I'm just hoping it doesn't get any more challenging than it is right now.
I'm just hoping that life would do me a solid and not give me any drama.
Not right now.Enough is enough.
